The fights
What it is
A broadcaster or a paper puts something false or hateful about us into the world.
How we respond
Complaints to the regulator, all at once, and numbers big enough to make ignoring us cost more than fixing it.
What it is
A company waves the flag in June then drops us the moment it's inconvenient, or quietly funds the people who attack us.
How we respond
We remember, we make it public, and we point our spending at the ones who actually show up.
What it is
An organisation or an official pushes a harmful line dressed up as concern.
How we respond
We answer together in the places that count, like consultations and formal complaints.
What it is
Queer voices throttled by an algorithm while the bile gets pushed to the top.
How we respond
We show up in numbers and lift them back up, with follows, shares and comments that move them.
What it is
The small stuff that adds up, like an event pulled or a space quietly closed.
How we respond
On its own it slides by. Together we notice, and together we push back.
The other half
It's not all fighting.
Half of this is lifting people up. The community-owned bar, the queer creator, the small brand that shows up for us. We point the numbers at them too, with reviews and follows and money, so doing the right thing pays.
